Seth Warren knows the vital connection between strategy, people and success. He finds things that others miss, loves to bring people on board with smart solutions and knows that an engagement isn’t finished until acceptance is enthusiastic. Seth prides himself on first using a logical thought-process that protects against analytical gaps, and then taking the necessary step back to broadly re-evaluate. In this way, he ensures consistently relevant, salient, and inspiring conclusions.
At MacPhie, Seth has led engagements in healthcare, post-secondary education, the social sector and the private sector. Seth’s recent work has been to craft the strategic direction of an organization in the mental health space, define and ingrain the aspirational culture of a department of one of the worlds most prominent beverage companies, and to develop research priorities for a national healthcare funding body.
Prior to MacPhie, Seth worked in accounting, finance and HR. Through three co-op terms in the assurance practice of Ernst & Young LLP, Seth developed a keen eye for detail and a sharp ear for client needs. As Laurier Governor and VP Finance and Administration of the Laurier Students’ Union, Seth managed multi-million dollar budgets, designed large-scale change management processes, and drove buy-in for an organizational restructure among a highly complex stakeholder set. As a result, Seth understands where strategy and implementation converge, and is able to balance aspirational goals with operational realities.
After graduating with Distinction from the Laurier Honours Bachelor of Business Administration program, Seth spent nearly five months backpacking Southeast Asia, developing an understanding of cultural nuances, foreign markets and emerging opportunities.
In his spare time, Seth sails with a race team at the Port Credit Yacht Club, and recently competed in the Lake Ontario 300, the longest annual fresh water yacht race in the world.
