Marco Folino

Driven to create value, Marco immerses himself in each engagement to uncover meaningful insights. With a background in strategic development, he is able to identify critical areas of focus, and effectively balance people and change to deliver personalized solutions.

Prior to MacPhie, Marco gained experience in market research and strategic planning through his work at George Weston Ltd. There, he researched new market opportunities and helped guide strategic plans for reputable Canadian brands such as Loblaw, Shoppers Drug Mart, and Weston Foods. Marco also spent time at Deloitte, where he advanced strategic initiatives for the firm’s professional service groups.

Marco holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University. Through his study, he has learned and applied methodologies to solve current business problems. Additionally, he worked as a Teaching Assistant where he strengthened his ability to effectively facilitate group discussion.

Outside of work, Marco is ambitious and energetic – always seeking to try new things. In the past, he has founded an Origami Club, coached his school’s Varsity Dragon Boat team, and completed a triathlon. He now enjoys spending his free time with friends, reading, and travelling.
