Kristen Shorer

As a returning intern at MacPhie, Kristen is passionate about bringing ideas to life through processes of collaboration. In her last term, Kristen worked across the public and private sectors and engaged with a variety of clients to help them win over the stakeholders who matter most. Specifically, Kristen worked with the team to conduct qualitative research, set strategic directions, and facilitate a variety of staff retreats.

In her recent experience, Kristen worked as a Wilfrid Laurier research assistant where she utilized her attention to detail to develop insights for a political science thesis. These skills enabled her to excel in her role as a summer student at RBC, where she worked to manage a variety of projects and implement efficient internal processes.

In the upcoming academic semester, Kristen will be working with the Laurier Writing Centre to assist peers in the writing process. Similarly, in her role as an English tutor and ski racing coach, Kristen has developed a passion for working with others in processes of learning, improvement, and change.

Kristen is currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Communication Studies. Having completed a variety of critical thinking courses, Kristen is motivated by her curiosity and love of learning – never missing an opportunity to ask why. Kristen is also achieving the Business Management Option where she has developed a keen sense of what makes a great company, magnetic brand, and loyal market.
