Alex lives for the insight. Knowing that the first step to any engagement is to understand what stakeholders think and feel, he strives to uncover unique and purposeful findings. Through research and facilitation, Alex works to help create empathy, build effective cultures, and set strategic directions.
As a coop student at MacPhie, Alex supports his team in engagements across the private, public and not-for-profit sectors, as well as with internal operations and business development. In his recent work, Alex has helped a government ministry to build a more magnetic culture, assisted in the strategic planning process for an insurance brokerage firm and aided in a research initiative for a community care organization.
Alex is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in psychology and business at the University of Waterloo. This unique combination allows Alex to apply best practices in human research from psychology to the world of business. In his previous co-op terms, Alex worked at both the provincial and federal governments as well as in the tech sector. While in these positions, Alex assisted in various types of research and analysis and found purposeful solutions to complex problems.
Outside of work, Alex enjoys mountain biking, listening to podcasts, and going on the occasional run.
